The essay contest is in collaboration with the Knights of Rizal-Hawaii Chapter, which is a part of a global, non-profit, not-partisan, civic organization founded in the Philippines on December 30, 1911 under Republic Act 646.
Rizal at his attainment of higher education at Ateneo Municipal even showed that he was far more superior to the Spaniards. He finished a Medical course with “Excellent” remarks.From this his educational achievement, I can really say that even though he was seen as a lower person, he showed that he was far superior and smarter than them.

It is our policy that the Order of the Knights of Rizal should not be preoccupied essentially with the conferment of various degrees and awards. Rather, the Order should be concerned with the more substantive activities directed towards the propagation ofr the teachings of the national hero, i.e. essay contests, oratorical contests, lectures and seminars.
